eEnergy and St Malachy’s
St. Malachy’s Girls National school is under the care of the Dominican Order since its foundation in 1833 and is the first national school in Dundalk.
The challenge
Prioritising their commitment to sustainability, St. Malachy’s turned to eEnergy for an upgrade of their lighting to energy-efficient LED fittings. The upgrading to the lighting solution to all areas of the building was completed with as little impact to the school environment as possible.
The overall solution has improved lighting levels across the site and made a 68% reduction in lighting costs, amounting to an average of €2,056 per year.
