The challenge.
Saint Ronan’s School is a co-educational Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School for children aged 2 to 13, Founded in 1883, the school has a distinguished history and an excellent academic record. It is set in the magnificent Tongswood Estate which offers 250 acres of excitement and adventure
Saint Ronan’s were keen to reduce their reliance on expensive energy from the grid, whilst also reducing their carbon footprint. The school were looking to achieve this without investing their own capital upfront using eEnergy’s Operating Lease models to achieve this.
The solution.
The solar system comprised of the installation of 79.2 kWp rooftop solar PV system on the school’s Sports Hall roof, comprising of 180 solar panels.
eEnergy’s turnkey solution managed the design, installation and procurement of high quality, investment grade solar technology.
The in-house expert design team adhered to all regulatory compliance regarding positioning of the solar PV arrays, whilst taking into account shading and roof orientation to maximise yields.
eEnergy’s expert enhanced DBS-checked team then took care of the installation and commissioning of the solar system for Saint Ronan’s, whilst minimising the impact on their day-to-day operations.
A comprehensive ongoing maintenance package ensures the school’s solar system remains hassle free. Ongoing support includes daily system monitoring, monthly reporting on performance, full warranty, call out and a performance guarantee, together with an annual report with recommendations such as cleaning and new technology.
The results.
The deployment of eSolar is forecast to deliver transformational benefits for the school meaning they can generate their own clean energy and reduce reliance on purchasing expensive energy from the grid to significantly cut energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.
